While working on our Gilligan’s Island costumes we ended up making these warm-up style hoodies by accident. We used the grey jersey to test the fitting for the polo shirts and since all it needed to complete the garment was some kind of finishing on the neck, we added a hood. However, we felt they needed some kind of personal touch and something interesting added in order to make a fun photo to send to friends. After scouring the Internet for a “work out” themed patch, we stumbled upon the Ying Yang Pug embroidered patches by Spider Stitches Parlor. Perfect!
Spider Stitches Parlor has a shop on Etsy with a lot of animal/nature themed patches. Not only do they have many pug patches, we were also very thrilled that she has a Gandalf Pug patch. How cool is that?! We had no idea! Of course we had to do warm-up hoodies with the Gandalf Pug on it and of course Sue had to have one to wear too. In fact, the Gandalf Pug shirt has proven itself very lucky on our mushroom hunting adventures! We love the patches so much we made up a number of them to share with friends and to donate as raffle items at pug events.
